CHARACTER: Richele Columbo. Operater Alias: Insider

FRANCHISE/WORLD: Arknights

OVERVIEW: Richele Columbo, A.K.A. Insider, is a sankta hailing from the city of Laterano in the lands of Lateran. Sankta are an angel-like race that live on the face of Terra (the world of Arknights) who follow the commandments of the Law, lest they face consequences for breaking it. Richele works at the Notarial Hall in Laterano as an Executor. A job which requires him to uphold the rights of Laterano citizens as explained in the Law. As well as do far, far too much paperwork for his tastes.
Post the events Hortus de Escapismo, he is also now working occasionally with Rhodes Island as an operator, hence his adoption of the Operator name, Insider.

PERSONALITY: Richele comes across as relatively laid back, he jokes and engages in small talk with coworkers, acquaintances, or the occasional stranger frequently. He is unruffled and maintains a cool head, he gets serious when the situation calls for it, but even in tense situations, his tactics tend to lean towards de-escalating rather than escalating. He’s so good at smooth talking and navigating conflict that there are individuals he’s been working with for years who’ve probably never seen him break a sweet in a verbal or social struggle. One has to wonder if he ever gets worried at all…
Characters who get to know him better, spend more time with him, or catch him at the most opportune or maybe, least opportune moment, will find that there’s a melancholy too him, an uncertainty, and even a deep sense of loneliness.

APPEARANCE: Richele 184cm/6ft tall, with short, mildly spiked black hair, black eyes, and an almost constant easy going smile. He wears a blue jump-suit uniform, with a gray pouch-vest having many pockets, a white shoulder pad which sits over a white cape, short sleeves with bear forearms, white gloves that end at the wrists, and black boots that end right below the knee. Above his head floats a flat disk halo, and behind his back are two sets of “wings”, transparent, glass-like rectangles, two sets of five for each side, that tend to rest in a pattern reminiscent of a wing. His posture tends to be proper, but not stiff, and he actively goes out of his way to look friendly and approachable as long as he’s not busy.

AURAL: Much like his demeanor, his tone is always one that’s friendly, going out of his way to sound pleasant and/or welcoming. His voice is a little deeper than you’d expect, and sometimes it’s a little obvious he’s laying it on a little thick, but all in all he’s polite and sociable.

OLFACTORY: Frequently smells of freshly baked pastries, albeit… sometimes a little sweeter than one would expect. If not that then there’s a sweet floral cologne he frequently uses, but you can’t put your finger on what it is...

ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: Usually evenings, sometimes in the afternoon, but mostly evenings. My pace is on the slower side.

BRACKETS(AKA action)/PROSE: Prose or brackets work! General preference towards prose but really either is fine, I will work with either 100%.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Not interested in sexual content or situations. Would like to be given a heads up if my character is going to be held accountable or blamed for something big (like a pandemic, or a death).

IN CHARACTER

PHYSICAL AFFECTION:Richele very frequently taps, touches, and pats people on the back/shoulders. He’s been at this job too long so sue him. And especially when he’s working as a mentor to new Executors, he’s found that the casualness that breaks the perceived grandeur of the job tends to relax the rookies. However for how much he dishes it out, he’s awful at taking it. If you touch him without him seeing it coming or ample warning, he often startles or stiffens, taking a few seconds to recover/brush it off, during which he often looks awkward or uncomfortable. However if he can see it coming, there’s no such reaction, and he doesn’t seem to mind at all.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: He prefers not to resort to violence, given the opportunity he will always try to talk himself and his coworkers out of a problem first, but if things get that bad and he doesn’t see any other option, he does not hesitate. Depending on the situation you’ll either be getting clocked in the face by a surprisingly mean left hook, or find yourself one bullet heavier.

RELATIONSHIPS: Richele actively cultivates friendly relations with people he meets. He’ll be willing to talk to pretty much anybody who approaches him as long as its not with immediate, violent hostility. However if you want to get anywhere deeper than a surface level friendship…… good luck. That's not to say he avoids people, or doesn’t spend time around others. But he tends to hold people at arms length, never being vulnerable, keeping his deepest and more personal thoughts entirely to himself.

PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Sankta are born with an empathy link to other sankta through their halos. There are exceptions to this, but they’re very uncommon. For Richele, since he’s been away from Laterano working for Rhodes Island, his empathy link has dulled. However it can still pick up stronger emotions, or if he tries more deliberately to sense them from other sankta. (I have an opt in/out post for the empathy link if you have any concerns) For anybody attempting to read his mind, it will become obvious that there’s a dissonance between his care-free attitude, and how he actually feels. He’s frequently more trouble, stressed, and tired than he lets on, and there’s a gnawing loneliness eating away at him.

MAGICAL INFORMATION: Richele is capable of utilizing arts. So far there’s no indication of any specific use except in the fact that he is capable of using a firearm (which in the world of Arknights requires good arts control to do).

MEDICAL INFORMATION: There is no trace of Oripathy in his bloodstream, he is not infected. Outside of that he’s very physically fit and well trained.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Not much ruffles his metaphorical feathers. However, he won’t appreciate people trying too hard to dig at his past and/or his own life beyond the surface level stuff like hobbies and basic job stuff. Anybody who continues to try to pry him open will get a very polite request to stop, as well as a very polite cold shoulder if they refuse to stop. He also won’t appreciate people who try to badger him about his opinions on the Law, the sarkaz, or anything related to his complicated feelings about Laterano.
Also as mentioned in his physical affection category: He doesn’t take well to being touched unexpectedly, if its a casual accident he won’t take it personally, but if its something deliberately malicious, or you’re an unrepentant repeat offender, he will not think well of you.
Lastly: if somebody catches him speaking Siracusan, or points out how much he knows about Siracusa specifically, its will put him on edge.
